In French, days of the week, months and seasons are not capitalized. With some exceptions (see below) they are used without the definite article (le, la, l’, les). The week begins on Monday and we also use the English word weekend to talk about the weekend !

J’ai un rendez-vous jeudi matin. I have an appointment on Thursday morning.
Demain, c’est samedi ! Tomorrow’s Saturday !
Le weekend prochain je ne travaille pas ! Next weekend, I don’t work !
To say that you do something regularly (sports, hobbies etc.), every Monday, each Tuesday, on Saturdays for instance, use the masculine definite article le before the day (wich remains in the singular) or les (in this case add a s at the end of the day to make it plural) :
Je cours les vendredis I run on Fridays
Elle rend visite à sa grand-mère le dimanche. she visits her grandmother every Sunday.
Le mardi je suis à la salle de sport. Each Tuesday I’m at the gym.
Tu fais quoi le dimanche ? What do you do on Sundays ?

To talk about months in French you can either use the preposition en (in) before the name of the month or use au mois de / d’ :
Quel mois sommes-nous ? What month is it ?
Nous sommes en octobre. / Nous sommes au mois d’octobre. It’s October.
Christophe va en Australie en janvier. / Christophe va en Australie au mois de janvier. Christophe goes in Australia in January.
Les cours commencent en septembre ! / Les cours commencent au mois de septembre ! Classes begin in September !

In French, names of the seasons are used with the definite article (le or l’), the preposition en or with au (only with au printemps) :
L’hiver, c’est la saison froide. Winter is the cold season.
Ma mère adore l’automne. My mother loves autumn.
Je passe l’été à la plage. I spend the summer at the beach.
Au printemps, les oiseaux chantent. In the spring, the birds sing.
